We invite everyone in our community to help us celebrate leadership and positivity by nominating at least one inspiring professional who deserves recognition. And yes, that person could be you!

1. What is the deadline to nominate?
The final nomination deadline is 20th September, 2025.

2. Who can I nominate?
You can nominate yourself, your boss, a colleague, a friend, or any professional who has made a real impact and emerged as an inspiring leader.
•If you nominate someone else, they’ll receive an anonymous notification email and can add more details to complete the nomination.
•Nominations are free of charge, and only fully completed applications will be considered by the Jury.
3. Can I nominate myself?
Yes! Self-nomination is strongly encouraged. You know your story best, and you’re the one who can showcase your achievements most accurately.
4. What are the award categories?
There are 6 categories for the WLA 2025:
•SME Business Leader of the Year
•Corporate Business Leader of the Year
•Woman of Impact
•HeForShe Man of the Year
•Diane E. Long Lifetime Achievement
•Young Achiever (18-35) New in 2025
5. What are the criteria for nominating?
The WLA celebrates women leaders — and since 2016, men who champion women — who lead with vision, set an example, and make a meaningful difference.

6. Can I be nominated again if I was nominated before?
Yes! There are no limits on repeat nominations. Each year has a new Jury panel, and your story continues to evolve.
7. What should I include in the essay?
Tell a story that brings the nominee to life. Focus on:
•Leadership style & values
•Challenges faced and actions taken
•Results & measurable achievements

8. How do I nominate someone?
Once you’ve reviewed the criteria, complete the online nomination form. Submissions are confidential and reviewed by an independent Jury.
•If you nominate someone else, they’ll be notified anonymously and given the chance to add more information.
•Winners will be announced at the WLA 2025 Ceremony in Shanghai, 8th November.
