
Diane E. Long Lifetime Achievement
Named in honor of Diane E. Long, the founder of IPWS, this award recognizes individuals whose lifelong commitment to leadership and community has created a lasting legacy. It celebrates those who embody Diane’s vision of connecting, inspiring, and empowering women to lead with purpose.
Recipients of this award have dedicated their careers to advancing women’s leadership, shaping inclusive workplaces, and opening doors for future generations. More than an accolade, it is a tribute to leaders whose impact reflects Diane E. Long’s pioneering spirit and the values on which IPWS was built.
Eligibility Requirements:
◾Currently work/reside in China (or work remotely for a China-based organization) with ongoing influence over a company/organization still active in China.
◾Exemplify IPWS’s core values: CONNECT (building networks), GROW (personal/professional development), INSPIRE (role-modeling leadership), LEAD (driving systemic change for women).
◾Experience & Legacy:
•Minimum 15+ years of leadership experience in corporate, entrepreneurial, nonprofit, academic, or diplomatic fields.
•Posthumous nominations accepted, with the award receivable by a spouse/partner or descendant.
Nomination Requirements:
◾Transformative Impact
•Sustained Contributions: Evidence of advancing women’s leadership and/or wellbeing over decades (e.g., policies created, organizations founded, mentorship legacies).
•Macro-Level Change: Reshaped industries, sectors, or national/international standards to empower women (e.g., closing gender gaps, influencing legislation).

•Thought Leadership: Pioneered ideas/frameworks redefining opportunities for women.
•Results Leadership: Tangible outcomes (e.g., increased female leaders representation, pay equity milestones).
•People Leadership: Guided many women leaders and built inclusive workplaces.
•Personal Leadership: Unwavering integrity, resilience, and lifelong commitment to equity.

•Nationwide or industry-wide renown (e.g., awards, media features, peer testimonials).
•Embodies IPWS’s mission through actions that amplify women’s voices and break barriers.
