Event Recap : #IAmRemarkable workshop

Thursday’s #IAmRemarkable workshop was a full house, with participants coming together to build confidence, reflect, and learn from each other.

In 90 minutes, we explored the challenges that many—especially women and underrepresented groups—face when talking about their own achievements.

We discussed topics like imposter syndrome, societal bias, and the “confidence gap,” and understood that sharing what we have achieved is not bragging—it is simply being honest.

As part of the workshop, Maria Pastorelli led a practical exercise where we each wrote statements starting with “I am remarkable because…” and shared two of them with others in the room. It helped everyone practice speaking openly about their achievements. Participants also learned simple ways to track achievements, set bigger goals, and advocate for themselves and others.

An important point from the session: achievements do not speak for themselves—you have to speak for them.

Thank you to Maria for leading the session clearly and thoughtfully.

Thank you also to Hang Lung Properties for providing the venue.

#IAmRemarkable is a global initiative that encourages people to recognize and talk about their achievements in both work and life. It helps individuals overcome self-doubt, challenge social norms, and build the habit of sharing successes openly.

Thank you to everyone who participated and helped create an open and respectful environment.

We look forward to the next opportunity to meet, learn, and support one another.
