IPWS & Chi Fan for Charity 2016

IPWS chi fan for charity

We are proud to announce IPWS is sponsoring two tables at Chi Fan For Charity this year! It has been exciting seeing Chi Fan for Charity grow beyond Beijing over the years and especially as one of their main beneficiaries is a subject close to our hearts at IPWS: supporting & educating women.

This year, IPWS will be sponsoring two tables to directly support the international charity: Educating Girls of Rural China (EGRC) a wonderful organisation dedicated to helping young women from impoverished areas of Western China to obtain education and with a program that creates a unique sisterhood as these young women continue to go on into their professional careers. We also are pleased that Chi Fan For Charity is also supporting Shanghai Young Bakers!

IPWS have chosen two fabulous restaurants for the Chi Fan For Charity night, focusing on two successful restauranteurs:  Jenny Gao (BAOISM) and Michelle Garnaut (GLAM). Both women are strong business leaders and IPWS will be celebrating professional women in Shanghai while raising money for Educating Girls in Rural China on Saturday 12th November, 2016.

AND, to celebrate & connect professional women, IPWS will also be donating raffle prizes to Chi Fan For Charity: (1) IPWS membership and (2) tickets to 2017 IPWS Leadership Summit. In May 2016, IPWS hosted it’s first Leadership Summit and celebrated the Women Leadership Awards, find out more here.

You can find out more on how to pick up those raffle prizes & enjoy a fun dinner & after party (and much more) at the Chi Fan For Charity restaurant page.

About Chi Fan For Charity:

Chi Fan For Charity takes the standard concept of a large gala dinner and throws it out the window! Seven years ago, founder Michael Crain had an idea and convinced a few restaurants in Beijing to participate in this innovative concept, using his network and friends to spread the word. From this, Chi Fan for Charity was born.

Chi Fan for Charity (CFFC) takes place at various renowned restaurants across the city on the same night. Participating restaurants donate a table of 10 each, providing a minimum 500 RMB per person in value meal. Each table is hosted by one of Shanghai’s movers and shakers. They invite their influential network of celebrities, cross industry business professionals, managing directors, and other key opinion leaders in our community. Each guest simply pays the set price at their restaurant (500-1500RMB), which covers a minimum three-course meal, two beverage pairings as well as entrance to our blow out free flow After Party. Post-dinner, all hosts, guests, and sponsors unite at one location to compare stories on their wonderful meals, enjoy live music and dancing, compete in a raffle and silent auction all the while enjoying access to our open bar – all donated to charity!
